I've been a student at Michigan State for two years now. I'm a psychology major, going into my junior year. I love Michigan State and would recommend the school to anyone considering getting the most out of their education and their time spent away at college. We have great school spirit at MSU and everyone who goes here loves it. You really feel apart of something great. There is a lot of opportunity to get involved and meet new people. We have hundreds of clubs and organizations as well as many intrameral sports to get invovled with. The vibe on campus is very laid back and friendly. I remember my first week at MSU just walking around and everyone you see says hi to you. They take the time to make sure you enjoy your time at MSU. There is a great social life at Michigan State. Football games are full of tailgating before and people partying all over. There are also parties always going on some where on campus, no matter what day it is. Even if you're not a partier there are plenty of things to do on campus. Our athletics are top notch and we're always doing well. The campus is absolutely beautiful. It's a very big campus, but it's not cluttered with disgusting buildings. It actually has plenty of trees, flowers, as well as the Red Cedar River flowing through the middle. The only downside I could think of would be an issue with safety. Sometimes at night there are potential risks when walking alone, however, I've never had any problems with it and I'm sure there will be some risk with whatever school you go to. Before decided if you want to attend ask yourself if you would like to get the most out of your college experience. If the answer is yes, I would choose Michigan State University. There's something for everyone here. I would first take a college tour though and talk to a few people to make sure that it is what you're looking for in a school. Since it is a big school versus a small one, there are always going to be some people who choose not to attend. All in all though, it's an abosolute great school and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
