I was excited about the field and the opportunity that Belrea promised to offer. My recruiter was clueless in helping me find an apartment. I kept telling her that I wanted to live alone, and she kept trying to get me to scher a 2 bedroom with 3 other people. So, I wound up doing the research and getting a place on my own. I was promised a wildlife curriculum and was very disappointed. There was one wildlife course that was $200 and not worth any credits. I spent 2 days listening about botulism in geese at Denver zoo. By the time I graduated, the school and Alameda East had parted ways. So it was up to me to find my own place to do my internship. I am now finding out that NONE of my credits will transfer, even though I have an Associates Degree, unless I get a bio degree from Metro State College in Denver. So, 10 years later, I am an incoming freshman. Yay!! So, still have student loans from this lovely school, am not working in the field, and have to start over. I recommend that anyone wanting to attend this school work in a clinic first and research the programs offered at their local community college. |
