Some professors are friendly, but the math teachers are notoriously bad (watch out for Tierman, guys). I would say that a regular student could manage the school okay, but athletes beware: some of the programs here are ridiculous. If you're thinking of coming here on an athletic scholarship, GET OUT NOW. Go somewhere else. Some coaches are sadistic, some are perverted, and most just don't have a clue what they're doing. SVSU teams do not genereally succeed. From a social standpoint, it's highschool all over again. If you're a jock you will be popular and have friends here, but a lot of them are shallow and won't make you feel very good about yourself. If you come here, you will have to be patient and wait to find the people with whom you can really connect.I'm not saying you can't be happy here, but you could certainly be happier somewhere else. One last word of advice: stay away from the RFOC as much as possible. Dreadful food. |
