This school is for the open-minded, green-oriented, and down to earth. Being in the Architecture Dept., I cant really say I completely agree with their school of thought, but is still a GREAT program. EVERYONE (and their mothers) here is a huge Ducks athletic fan; football games at Autzen Stadium are a full weekend event(fri, sat, sun). Students are VERY involved here at U of O. Even though Eugene is a small town, there is never a dull moment. The location is actually ideal. BEAUTIFUL campus and very well kept, everything is so green!!! Girls here are VERY attractive. Greek life is a major part of my college life, but it DOES NOT dominate the social scene like other schools I've seen (I am from SoCal..). Students here really know how to have fun, yet everyone is VERY focused on their academics (basically, you work super hard during the week, then have THE MOST EPIC weekends of your life). This WAS NOT my top choice (UVA was, but whatever), but I ended up loving it. Have 2 friends from San Diego up here, and QUICKLY met many others. Overall, I recommend Oregon. Love my Phi Delts!!!! |
