Lehman is what you make of it. If you go there to get your degree and to go to 13th grade, the professors will not waste their time on you. However, if you make yourself and your goals known to the faculty they will go out of their way to challenge you and to make sure every academic door to your future is open to you. My experience? The faculty is not often asked to go the extra mile for the mediocre student who are going there just because they want an easy degree. Can you go through that school like that? Sure! But it would be a waste of some very good oppurtunites, resources and excellent faculty.Unfortunately it's resources rarely used by its students. Personally, I think Lehman should be more selective in its admission process, but overall the professors are 1st rate but underappreciated by both faculty and students. I've had oppurtunity to go to a "better" school but the education and attention I recieved from my professors at Lehman was worth more. |
