UVM blows, the students, the faculty, the academics, the "prestigiousness", everything.

The students are close minded rich hipsters from CT/NJ/MA who don't care about learning, and wanna just party there way through life. They are all going to become robots in 4 years, because that's how they live right now. If you aren't like them, they won't accept you. It's as easy as that, and many of them are fake hippies who you dont want to associate with anyways. They pretend to be green, peaceful, spiritual hippies, but in reality they trash the planet, trash on people, and do alot of drugs.

The falculty are actually really nice people but they sometimes don't always know what they are doing, and are hard to talk to when you have an issue. Some are more flexible with others, but for the most part, you have to place an SOS call to find a professor.

The academics are not hard at all, but the only reasons people tend to not do well is not the rigor of academics, it is usually either partying or because the teacher is not teaching, and giving impossibly hard tests. Those are two common reasons, and are usually not because the actual class and material is hard.

This school is not a good school, and for some reason people think it is because they try to sell that belief to you. That very belief gives everybody here a sort of snooty ego, that makes them seem better than everyone else! I could be going to my state school back home for 3 times less, but since "UVM is a good school", i came here. I realized the two schools offer the same exact thing, a bunch of partying, and second rate academics. I am transferring next semester and am very happy with my choice. Have fun at your potential AA meetings and drug rehab, all you current UVM students.
