There is no social life and no traditional college experience. It's great for those who already have a bunch of friends, but if you're new to Chicago or just a shy person, I wouldn't suggest going here. The academics are extremely challenging and you will definitely have plenty of work to occupy yourself with, but to me the lack of community and lack of support was not worth it. DePaul is highly reputable and a big name, so I did not have trouble getting a job after college, but if it wasn't for the work study experience I had, I would still be out of a job. I would not attend DePaul again, but I'm glad I did because I developed a lot of character and learned how to teach myself (professors never available). |
