With very few exceptions, the professors here are awesome. They are willing to help you with whatever questions you have or just talk to you about life. The profs are at Rose to teach, not to do research or for any other reason. There are lots of clubs to join, and it's not to hard to make it onto the athletic teams if thats what you want to do. Of course, if you play sports, don't expect anyone to actually come to your games. It sucks how few girls there are. I didn't think it would bother me, but it does. I don't have a single girl who I would consider a good friend here. A lot of them hang out with people in their sorority or they just hang out with their boyfriend and the rest are downright strange. It sucks if you are a reasonably normal non-affiliated woman. If I want female support, I have to call one of my friends from home to talk. So, it's pretty lonely in that respect. Though if you want male company, it is not hard to find.If you are looking for a job in Indiana after you graduate, Rose has a great reputation around here, and finding a job will be easy. Unfortunately, it is not well known outside of the Midwest. |
