The majority of the professors are "tired old men" who stay in a small office that smells of moldy paper with all kinds of old obsolete research journals on the shelves to make you feel like you are in a special place. This university is just another CORPORATE DRONE FACTORY the internships are only available at like senior level and are super selective and will probably squeeze u until you fail your courses. I am a slow and meticulous learner and the university physics class went so fast and covered like 7 disconnected chapters in a 25 chapter book that i made a D. It would be better to learn it right than to learn it in a rush. In my public schooling the teacher used to know who i was and you would see the same people and get to build a relationship with them. Here the professors do not care who you are and there are so many students that it is like seeing the same person twice at the mall. The students seem to be in a real hurry and stressed out. There are so many demoralizing things about this university. Broken sidewalks, endless construction, parking problems, ghetto surrounding area, expensive, dirty computer lab. It would be better just to get a job at Target / work at the Zoo / volunteer and invent something in your free time than to go to this gulag to break your spirit. |
