SLU is a good school. The social scene is either excellent or bad depending on wither you are involved in greek life. If you are in a fraternity or sorority you will have the time of your life at SLU. There are constantly parties throughout the week as well as bar parties that are rented out by greek organizations, which you are bussed to downtown. It is crucial to have a fake here because the bar scene is so huge, but it is not difficult to get one. If you do not go greek however you will not have a good time, or at least have a much harder time doing so. Many people transfer because of this. This opinion does not just come from those in greek life. Several of my friends that did not go greek told me this and many are transferring to places such as Madison or the U of I. Overall it is awesome to be in the city. There is always something to do and a different bar to go to. Lacledes, Humphreys, and Chuys are directly across the street from campus and you can expect to see many people you know throughout the week. As a whole SLU is what you make of it. |
