Elac is a good stepping stone for those who try. If you apply yourself, try to get involved in campus and really take the time to talk to the faculty, you'll find that there are really wonderful opportunities and advice to be taken. I can only speak for the Art and Graphic Design departments, both of which are located in the nicest, newest facilities (esp. Fine Arts). The new Vincent Price Art Museum is amazing and definitely makes me proud of ELAC. For graphic design, although the faculty is good, there aren't enough labs and because of the lack of funding, the software is not up-to-date. If your major is Fine Arts, I definitely recommend ELAC. If it's Graphic Design I recommend it although I bet there's better jr colleges like SMCC. |
