It is small and has high academic standards, so you are pushed to really explore and understand material. The people are incredibly friendly, from the staff to the faculty - your professors truly care about your growth as a person, as much as in your classes. It is a liberal arts college, so people tend to be pretty open-minded. Erskine is a Christian college also, but (with a few exceptions that I think you would find anywhere) people don't try to force their beliefs onto you. Although Due West is an incredibly small town, there are two decent-sized towns within 15-minutes drive, and three large cities within 30-60 minutes drive. Also, because the students like to stay busy, there are always tons of activities going on around campus - planned and sporadic - and we have many societies and organizations that do a great job of trying to plan events. Erskine is small, but it is a great, fun family of people that will push and support you to be your best in everything. |
