I thought that my experience at UNR was fantastic. I lived in Truckee the entire time, I was able to ski 7 days a week and still get a four year degree. I decided to pursue a higher education after attending UNR, and I think that has been one of the best decisions I have made. UNR prepared me to move on. I thought that the smaller, more major specific classes were great—low and behold I REALLY enjoyed Core Humanities when it came to the GE's (call me crazy). I did the greek life thing, realized it wasn't my thing—UNR had a lot to offer and I think a lot of people don't realize that. You are close to downtown, everything is SO convenient. All of my teachers were pretty understanding for the most part. I didn't realize how much UNR prepared me for life until I was away from school for a bit, now I am so happy about my decision to join the wolf pack.

A tip to those of you ski bums out there:

The online programs are AMAZING if you are self motivated. I used to wake up go shred and then come home and do my homework. Tahoe is closer to UNR, than living in Colorado and commuting from CU or CSU or DU to summit.I would say MSU and UofU would be the next best—but, where else can you get so many bluebird days?
