Although there are some weird kids the education is fabulous especially as a communications major. Within 2 weeks I had my first radio show, and I was alone in the studio but the teachers had done such a fabulous job I knew exactly what to do and it's a lot of fun. The city is not that great at all but if you like to party you aren't far from WVU probably half an hour tops it is just down I-79. I would say to anyone coming here definately do it. The workout facilities are great and they really bring lots of cool stuff on campus. They have brought on comedians, bands, and speakers and it's really awesome. Just today they brought in a man from Saudi Arabia to discuss the Islamic world and how they viewed 9/11 and to clear up common misconceptions of Muslims. The new dorms are amazing and the buildings are fabulous. I'm writing this from one of the schools state of the art Mac computers with massive screens that anyone can access. If you visit campus you have to see the top floor of the library it is the DeWeese room and it is beautiful. It is more of a hotel than a school library up there. The new Chapel is amazing and the school is growing more and more every year. All in all great school in a dull town. You aren't too far to go to places for a night, but you have a great surrounding environment. And I must say I noticed that the town is growing there is a "waterpark" 5 minutes away. It is really just a pool with a handful of water slides but it is still a lot of fun. |
