I attended the MOC New Bern campus. The location was very convenient and the course set up (accelerated, night program) fit into my schedule almost perfectly. There are ALWAYS negatives to ANY academic institution; MOC's were minimal. Overall, I had instructors with "real world" knowledge in addition to the proper academic credentials which provided a wealth of knowledge and made lectures interesting. A couple instructors enjoyed hearing themselves speak, but they were a small minority. My advisor was VERY helpful and supportive in regards to the administration aspect of attending college. I was fortunate to have a great group of people in my cohort (who became my friends! I love them!). While there were a couple negative experiences, I ENJOYED my time a MOC New Bern and would not trade it for anything! I would recommend attending MOC at one of the extended campus locations. If you NEED to have online courses to get a degree, then do it. Otherwise, I HIGHLY recommend doing a seated program. Further, the main campus location offers more majors and is cheaper, but be aware that the town is pretty small. |
