I actually love country music and have loved Texas my entire life, but people from A&M are mostly from tiny Texas towns that I have never heard of and it seems that going to school anywhere else in the world is incomrehensable to them. I did not grow up being an Aggie fan (I was actually a Longhorn fan), so all of the die hard aggie stuff is a little bit annoying. And usually I love school spirit but here it is so intense it makes me feel out of place like i'm not a hard core enough aggie to belong. and they HATE UT, like get over it already. who cares. In my opinion, if you weren't raised an aggie just dont go here. the redneck, howdy saying, whooping people who think aggies are the most respectable people in the world get old. And I've made no friends because so many people from my high school go here and other people I have met are still friends with their high school friends. everyone here is from texas. i want to see the world and know what else is out there..if you're the same this is not the school for you. it gets so much hype from all those who adore the aggies but really it is not awesome. at all. I'm transferring out of state in the spring. |
