College is certainly not for everyone. There are many different paths to happiness and success. However, for me, my college education (both undergrad and grad) has helped reinforce and shape who I am as a person. I value the lifelong friendships I made, the cherished memories, the knowledge/experience learned, and the solid preparation for my career. I wouldn?t have been able to advance to the level I?m at without an advanced degree. Experience is crtiical too, but without the degree, I?d have hit a glass ceiling much sooner. The degrees are a basic requirement for the field I am in.

If you do go to college, have fun, but also be sure to apply yourself. This decision will impact the rest of your life. Make the best of your time and this investment and it will pay off down the road.
