I am a Medical Coding/Billing student at the RLA Campus in Cranberry Township PA. I have found the faculty to be impressive in there competence and experience within the course material being taught. We have had Margie Stackhouse, Pete Viola, Terri Barbour and Linda Raab as our instructors thus far. Each instructor has had their own teaching style and approach but all have had a huge degree of experience in their fields and have been very genuine in their care and concern for the students and for the students understanding of the materials. The coursework is very intensive and requires a lot of time to complete and to study but it is an accredited program so they are sure to meet those guidelines with their expectations set forth. Going into this, I knew I was taking a 2 year course in a year and that is why I chose this school. A lot of students have lodged significant complaints about the courseload and have not seperated the teacher from the subject matter. The teachers are expected to get through substantial amounts of material in a short amount of time. The fact that the workload is intense is not their problem it is the result of our choosing to take this course in half the amount of time that is normally required at four year institutions. We are being instructed by the best of teachers in their fields and I am very satisfied with the education I am receiving. I saw a reference on here to Nancy Nestor as "Nasty" Nestor and musy say that I do not agree with this at all. I have had significant health issues this term and she has gone out of her way to accomodate my needs during this time. She has always addressed every concern I have or finds a way to meet a particular need I am presented with. How immature of someone to make such a statement! Pete Viola is the kindest of teachers and very gifted in explaining the materials taught and reaching out to the needs of the class. Linda, Margie and Terri are very concerned with our retention and recollection of course work and are all heart. Each of our instructors have gone out of their way to make learning fun for us. This is not a school for the lazy but a school for those who are serious about learning and want to have the instructors with the most experience in their field. I am glad to have chosen this school.
