27 Yrs old, transfer student with 3.0 GPA. Graduating at the end of my current semester. I enrolled in the Bachelor of Design Studies degree, i was interested in architectural design but wanted a degree to get myself into the field before committing to the bachelors of Architecture degree(7-8 years). The school is small which has up and down sides, such as my degree getting pushed back due to required classes being unavailable (a result of not enough students to offer a class), this also leads to being forced to take classes online which is somewhat a joke (cost the same as on campus classes). The library hours are not ideal, the school is set up so you work during the day and take classes in the afternoon and night, leaving weekends to be the primary study time and the shortest library hours (noon-5). I had 2 years worth of credits transfer in and it still took another 4 years.

Their full time student tuition covers 3 classes, i asked if it was possible to take 5 classes (like many schools) and was advised not to since the cost per credit after the initial 9 went up significantly.

The school is young and i think that may be why it struggles a bit. It is probably much more suited for those taking the bachelor or masters of architecture, but the other degrees are essentially 'architecture lite'… all the same classes with a few less studios and math classes.
