I miss the school and come back to visit from time to time. I never had much of a social life here - I'm from Saint Louis and I lived at home, mostly seeing my own local friends. But really, are you in college to socialize? In my opinion, that's a perk, not a goal. I was here to learn, and learn I did. I have rarely met anyone else whose undergrad prepared them better for graduate school, and I have never had a problem getting a job. Faculty here are still in contact with me and still helping me in my career. I would recommend being more involved in campus life than I was. There is a lot going on, with diverse events and activities every day. My only regret is not taking advantage of those opportunities as well as the academic ones. |
