Not sure how valid my review will be since I was last a student at Thiel in 2004. From what I've read on here, alot of things haven't changed since I was there. It's basically what some others have described it as, it feels like the 13th grade. The social environment was very cliche and that can make it difficult to socialize, especially during the first month as a freshman. The school atleast made an effort to encourage everyone to get to know one another through a retreat before the semester started. Being a small school, it was easy to remember faces and you can make friends quickly if you make the effort.

Classes weren't bad but I didn't feel like I was taking anything significant from them. Instructors for the most part were friendly and approachable but also fairly arrogant.

The food services was a high point and I rarely had any complaints in that area, especially the Bistro.

The dormitories needed work and badly. Things got bad during the winter when the heater in my dorm room began making high pitched noises and that just made it tough to sleep at night. My dorm room also a makeshift one since it used to be a meeting room that they divided up and gave us cheap furniture that wasn't equal to what students in the rest of my dorm had.

Greenville itself is a town in the middle of nowhere and there was very little to do downtown. Walmart became the highlight of my off-campus excursions. Also, in my first semester there, the town lost water and this lasted about a week. This happened not once but twice in the same semester.

Thiel College has a pretty bad turnover rate and I recall about 40-50% of the students I went to Thiel with my first year, had transferred out by the start of my sophomore year. During my 2nd year, I finally had enough and I transferred to another university.
