The primary thing to understand about PCC is that the entire organization is controlled by Mrs. Beka Horton. While the usual school "bureaucracy" can be very troublesome at times, the true downfall of the institution is the "monarchy of Beka". Why did the previous two pastors leave the campus church? Because Mrs. Horton held authority over them and was displeased with their preaching. In fact, all campus church sermons are reviewed by the administration. Even VP Mullenix admitted that someone else writes his sermons. A few changes have begun to take place, however. The godly teachers and staff still remaining at PCC are desperately trying hold out until the Hortons will finally turn it over and get out of the way. Everyone knows the current system is wrong and going to destroy the college, but no one, not even the VP's or the Board of Directors can question Beka. Perhaps God will be merciful and remove her, so that this great ministry can be salvaged by the godly people who truly care about it.
