I am graduating from with a BSBA in Global Supply Chain Management. I have to say this school is a great place to learn. Wayne state university is a hidden jewel in a corrupt city. You have 6 libraries on campus to conduct your research and study ( you have a library for almost every major - engineering - nursing - medical - and the common under graduate library and a common graduate library) This school has some of the best professors in business. From Dr. Huff to Dr Taylor. It has a great atmosphere for being a commuter school ( it is changing slowly with more dorms are being built) I really enjoyed my time at wayne state university and it opened a lot of door for me. GM Chrysler Ford kellogs and others are always hosting career fairs and I would highly recommend you do an internship during your junior year. I attended several of them including an invitation from MSU's career fair and i got a job offer. This school is not easy .. and you will be challenged but if you are committed you can succeed. Wayne state has a lot of resources to take advantage off ( including a career center that is helpful) I am shocked to see the number of unhappy students … Most of which are probably kids who didn't even try and look into what the school can offer. THIS school is ranked one of the top 200-300 world wide (/www.timeshighereducation.co.uk and www.arwu.org/) and their law school is top 100 in USA .. their business school has a great reputation ( plus it is AACSB accredited - only a 1/3 of business schools schools in teh country have that) and their engineering school is top 4 in Michigan.. IF you are serious about school then Wayne should be on your list. In Michigan it is considered the 3rd best right after University of Michigan ann arbor and Michigan state. It is one of the only 3 with high level of research in Michigan. And grouped with the others when public endowments are given.
