The transfer process from cuny to cuny is terrible. It is only advisable to attend baruch for their accounting program and maybe their psychology. Aside from that the CIS program is a joke if you've taken CIS classes at another school Baruch does not give you an exemption to take the first level course in order to take the 2nd level course for you major. Instead the tell you to retake the classes you've taken already at another school. Transferring from a cuny 2year to a different 4 year and completed some classes there before going to baruch would have saved me almost 2 semester worth of retaking classes. I requested to move back to an elementary language class that I took an exemption for but the material was too much for not being able to read or write anything. The professors at the language department seemed helpful and encouraged me to take the elementary 2 though my professor for the language class advised me to take the elementary 1. Now it is too late for me to add/drop and the language department is now refusing to help me, also stating that it is to late that my only option is to take a W for my class and prolong my graduation date. Baruch does not care for students they care for the bottom line, the money they take in and the amount of students they are able to usher through their system.
