I had many peers who decided to attend William and Mary or University of Virginia, both of which I applied and considered attending, too. I almost decided to attend UVA, which is a very good school, but I had apprehensions about the preppy atmosphere I felt there. Looking back, I know I made a good decision to study at VCU. I am very proud to be a Ram. I had an enriching experience as an undergraduate, and cultivated lifelong friendships with both VCU students and teachers alike. The University provided me with the knowledge and skills I sought for building a successful career path as an undergraduate student, and it will continue to be a resourceful tool with its useful alumni network and professors to whom I remain connected. A large part of who I am today derives from my four years as a VCU student. I am grateful to say the least. |
