Although the campus is absolutely breathtaking, if you intend to get a degree from the school of engineering, pick another school. This department is full of arrogant, impatient instructors who are more concerned with when they will get home for the day than how their students are doing. The administration also often makes things such as enrolling in classes, paying bills, and even graduating on time much more complicated than they need to be, and the school's website is an absolute joke to boot. Never have I had more trouble getting a site to function correctly. Even though I have made some amazing friends here, I cannot remember a time when I was happy with my decision to attend UCSC.
