I absolutely detest this school. I transferred in from an even smaller Christian school. I was extremely closed minded when I attended this school so I thought it was great. After leaving, I now embrace atheism which gives me a unique outlook. Messiah is full of very sheltered children and athletes. The majority of the individuals I interacted with were either educated from birth in Christian schools or home schooled. If you are a parent reading this and do not want your child to experience the joys of the real world, send your child her. Messiah has great polices to ensure that your child will not be able to normal college activities like hang out in an opposite gender's dorm room on Monday or Thursday nights. Alcohol? Its around. You may think from the college's brochure that everyone is excited to be alive at Messiah. The truth of the matter is your only important if you've got money. There is a sign coming into campus that reads "Christ Preeminent". I'm sure most with agree it should read, "Cash Preeminent". This school is complete self-absorbed with appearances. They tore up the last aesthetically pleasing spot on campus to pave in a new parking lot and to construct their monstrosity they call the new "worship center". Social experience is really the most important aspect of college. Its where the real learning about one's self takes place. Messiah understands who goes to Messiah and they understand that the majority will not leave their friends to go to another school so they can just walk over their students. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.
