EMU is a great school. The main campus is beautiful and mainly everyone that goes to EMU is very friendly. The education quality is competitive with any other college or university in the state. The only negative about Eastern is the city of Ypsilanti. There are some rough areas south of campus, but for the most part it is pretty safe. I have never had any problems or known anyone that has found themselves in any kind of trouble. The night life is ok. There are some good bars in depot town.
