I am not writing this to be revengeful as it seems many reviews are simply negative and focus too much on the lack of a social life. I beg of you all to please go to a different school if you have the grades to do so, especially if you plan on pursuing a solid career and attending graduate schools. I simply went to Dowling because it was near my home and the campus was nice, but as a 17 year old choosing schools I did not look into the ratings. This school will not work in your favor! I graduated from a "good" highschool with a 4.0 , I had my choice at major universities but the locality was not the same. DONT DO WHAT I DID! Law schools, med schools, other graduate programs do not want Dowling students, no matter how well you did! Please do not ruin your chances at a solid career and solid future by going here. The academics are terrible, I was challenged more in high school courses then I was here. I did not learn what I needed to. Please do not go! Do you research! Dowling is so low in the ratings that websites such as US News and World Report dont even give it a number!

Do your research, please! EVERYONE can do better than this school.
