Seriously think twice before coming to this school. Though it is exciting to get accepted to an ivy league university and very easy to get absorbed in the romanticized idea of being an ivy league student, consider all your options. If medical school is your goal, DO NOT GO HERE. Your gpa will be horrible and you will most likely not have enough time to get involved enough to have a competitive application for med school. You study 24/7, more than you would ever expect. And it does not pay off at all. You are basically completely helpless when it comes your grades, which are based off what you already knew and therefore how good of a high school you went to. The professors think they are the best thing ever and can't teach. At all. AT ALL. They try to purposefully fail you and get mad if you actually do decent (above a C-). If you want a degree from a prestigious university and don't mind 4 years of complete depression and self-doubt, this is the place for you. If you plan to go on to medical school or something similar, or have some hope of fun or slight success during your college years, go elsewhere. |
