Underfunded. Not proper Chemistry, Math, Engineering staff lots of TA/ student teachers filling in. Tutors are older students who remembered when classes were passable not much help for engineering classes. No wonder my Chem class had avg test grades of 51-65 for the past 3 exams! And it gets even better!!! Scientific Programming had ONE student remaining out of 16 starting. Sad, powerpoints don't teach the logic of coding MATLAB, OH WELL. Differential Equations was a crapshoot that just bottlenecked a bunch of other engineering students too. Forget about the small class size concept, I would rather have larger classes with people that knew HOW TO TEACH. This new CBU is nothing the old reviews said about. Last year this was a terrific school, this year it's just transfer time. Mr.Shiue very helpful, rest of dept however not up to standards. This isn't even ranting about the Bomb threats this year at CBU, the shooting in the OFFCAMPUS student housing areas last year, and the broken bathrooms. |
