I've read reviews on this site that say all the students and faculty are arrogant and that is not true! Most of the students are friendly and it is really easy to make friends in your classes. The arrogance of the faculty depends on the department and on the individuals- I am majoring in Economics and Legal Studies, and the professors from both of these departments are awesome! Most people who encounter arrogant professors are taking 100 level courses- these professors are "arrogant" because they are required to teach that course, they aren't teaching what they love. When you get to higher level courses, you find awesome, outgoing professors who are passionate about teaching and about their subjects! I love UW-Madison and am glad I went here! |
