Roberts is a mixed bag. Students are generally nice enough…within the limited "christian" mold which Roberts has historically attracted. Thankfully this is being slowly broken (much to the dismay of the old guard) by the transition to NCAA DII and the addition of new sports teams (lacrosse in particular has helped diversify the student body away from its traditional student base). Campus life is "dry", meaning that there are parties (among some groups) but they are generally quiet about it. My general impression is that most students don't party, drink, have sex, etc. Be aware of what you are getting yourself into socially, this isn't a college for partying or letting loose. A "fun night" for most students is, as others have said, a movie with friends. Although near Rochester, most students exist in the "Roberts bubble", interaction with the community is very limited.

Academics at Roberts, at least in my major, are a joke. Classes are (for the most part) cursory level. History classes in particular have the tendancy (due to professors bias) of becoming little more than church history classes, at the expense of studying anything else that has happened. Religous classes are required, but a student can do well in them with little effort. Of course some majors are harder (nursing comes to mind), but for the most part this is not an academically challenging college. Few students seem to do any individual research or large scale projects, and there are very few (if any) projects which combine student and faculty efforts.

The campus itself is fairly standard. Most of the buildings have been done over recently, or will be in the immediate future. Support staff does a good job of keeping things in working order, but the campus gets a bit rough during the winter months (pathway clearance is a HUGE problem on this campus). Speaking of winter months, snow and cold weather dominate much of the year.
