The dorms are hot, stuffy and had a bed bug infestation. The professors did not provide help when needed, they assumed that everybody in the classes understood the topics and had a compltete grasp of the topics. They were not willing to provide resources ie study groups, tuitors, or spend extra time with students to understand material. The small class sizes are promoted and professors were supposed to be available for help (this was used as a selling point to get me enrolled). I felt that was only propaganda. The reality is just the opposite. I am transfering to a public college where I feel that I will get a much better education for a better price. Hope College does not give you a bang for the buck. They bang you for the bucks. My advice is go somewhere else and do not fall for the sugar coated PR that they tell you most is not true. |
