University of Illinois at Springfield is a great school for the right person. I attended Illinois State University and didn't enjoy myself because I felt it was too big. Here I like that the teacher knows who I am and knows my work and can adequately focus on helping me to my learning abilities. The social life here is partially non-existent but that doesn't mean fun doesn't exist. There aren't any clubs but if you're 21 there are tons of bars. It was hard for me to make friends my first year because I came in as a transfer student and didn't get along with my roommates but the second year here I met tons of people and I enjoyed my college experiences at UIS. |
