PCC is not perfect, but it is a very good school. Yes, there are a lot of rules. Don't let them make you miserable, though. You may not understand or agree with all of them, but just be flexible and cooperative while you are there. (Keep in mind that you will not have to live according to the PCC handbook for the rest of your life, but it won't hurt you to live with it for 4 years either—in fact, it will help you in some areas of your life.) With all that said, though, be careful not to get caught up in the mind-set that says, "I am a good Christian if I obey all the rules." A good Christian walks with God from the heart, and no rule book can make that happen. The rule book is a necessary tool that is intended to bring order and standards, but it is no substitute for genuine godliness. |
