You can make this school great if you get a lot of scholarships. Overall it is hard to get a job out of VFCC because the school is not widely known, outside of the Assembly of God circle, and there is a lot of competition in some business fields where you need the extra experience and quality of institution. In other areas and majors you will not have the proper educational experience to 'make it'… for example education. Elementary education, at this time, does not provide students the ability to get specialized in an area e.g. a reading specialist. Its a plain Jane education degree. It is also almost impossible to complete an education degree in 4 years because of the large about of bible credits that are required; You don't even get a minor for them!! If you are going into ministry you will fair well (its easy to make some connections in the AG), but you will have a lot of debt.

The administration is very inefficient and at times not very customer savvy. If you have the ability to have your billed paid for and not have to deal with the administration, you may have a great experience. If you plan on taking loans and/or getting billed for your education, you may have a sub par experience. Most the offices have a hard time communicating with one another.

Best advice: take your time and get familiar with the institution. When you graduate be prepared to lean on your own two legs because there is not much to lean on from VFCC after you graduate. The alumni presence & association is not very good and the college does a poor job to build relationships and invest in alumni. Lastly, the job market can be tough, depending on your major, because the quality of academics (again not all majors… Digital media is really good) may or may not train you adequately.
