I would not recommend this college to anyone. The education is fairly good, about what you would expect from a small liberal arts college.The problem is everything else. The people here all seem to think they are better than everyone else, and the social scene is divided into cliques. The athletes think they are amazing superstars even though they play at a D3 school and they won't talk to you if you don't play a sport. Some nerds think their geniuses and won't deal with anyone they don't consider intellectually equal to them and some are just painfully shy and stay in their dorms all day. There are also some rediculously rich assholes who brag about everything their parents bought them to the other students. It's all about status here at Wooster, if you're not a pretentious asshole you'll be lonely. There are nice people on campus but they are few and far between, and most are in the process of leaving or want to leave. Parties are small, it's always the same few people getting extremely drunk and they're often broken up early by the super-strict campus security, but few people go anyways. The security actively goes after potsmokers or people with alcohol in their dorms and charges them like criminals, even convincing students to wear wires to get others in trouble and save their own skins.The surrounding town has a terrible economy and is extremely ignorant of the diversity of the college. Local townspeople drive their oversized trucks and lifted cars with confederate flags in them by and yell out racial and homophobic slurs, throw drinks at people and harass females. Racism is very prevalent among some students here as well, many domestic students make fun of international students behind their backs. The food is terrible and its the same every day. The college accepts more students than it has housing for every year and then forces everyone to live on campus cramped together with 3 students in dorms meant for 2 or 2 students in dorms meant for 1. The college is very closed-minded although it will try to look like its not, on visits and orientation they tell you that you can be whoever you want to be at Wooster but then you get there and realize that they're all about conformity.
