DO NOT GO HERE unless you visit and feel this is were you want to be. I mean it! This school is pretty lame in comparison to just about anywhere else in the world. It seriously has some major hurdles to overcome if it is going to be competitive. I mean you will be investing YEARS of your life. Don't just go somewhere because you have some hint of an idea that maybe God is calling you here. Trust the desires of your heart, if they are not formed in sin, pursue them! God put them there! or do you think you put them there and God had nothing to do with it…eh? didn't think so. God puts the desires in our hearts so trust him and do what you want to do with your life! (Psalm 20:3, 37:3-5) If you don't want to go here don't go because you thinks its noble or something. Thats what I did and I had to come to terms with the fact that I did not want to be there and I was just trying to convince myself the whole time that it was the right thing to do. If you don't check them out first you'll end up like a lot of people and feel that you made the wrong choice. This is a University that is still learning how to be a university. Also, I'm not from Portland and I have to say that the hipster scene here is so lame. Men here are a bunch of pretty boys who spend more time in front of the mirror then women and have nice hair, cool boots, and soft hands…just saying you don't want that kind of attitude to rub off on you. It may be doing wonders for the Justin Beibers or One Direction type dudes but most of the men of this world are not concerned with looking pretty for the little girlies. This world needs men…not boys in skinny jeans. - j
