You have to be a good fit to got here. You have to be willing to put up with terrible weather, super arrogant people, extremely hard classes etc. If you are coming for business, pre law, engineering I would recommend it. Anything else a definite nono, especially premed where classes are curved to a c+/B-. This means that a good 75 percent of the class is weeded out of being premed. This not just intro premed but also the upper level premed. So, in a sequence where 4 chem courses are taken only about 10% of students have a chance at getting into med school. This is terrible considering the average act/gpa to get into this school. SO if you wanna do premed here, plan on having 0 social life at all and just studying and that's pretty much it. One thing to mention is the facilities are a toss up. SOme are extremely nice, but are only open to select people: athletes, grad students, professors, etc. The facilities for everyone: gym, undergrad library, large lecture halls are awful and always packed to the max. Being the highest tuition in the country, the university is clearly not utilizing undergrad tuition for undergrad improvements. |
