Boston College is not Harvard, not even in the same league. If you think that you can be successful in the business world and attend B.C., realize that it is just another heap in the pile of business schools in Boston. You have no direct high-quality job placement unless you play the "buddy-game." I would advise anyone who is thinking of attending college with a focus on business, management, administrative, accounting, finance majors to go to a college like a Harvard, Yale, or some other elite school that delivers exclusive high-paying executive position placement right out of college—in fact while you are in your senior year. Boston College shares a mediocre job network with schools like Babson, Brandeis, Tufts, Northeastern, etc. 30 other Massachusetts area colleges. B.C. DOES NOT HAVE AN EXCLUSIVE JOB NETWORK LIKE HARVARD. It does not have an exclusive network of high-quality job placement for all its students (maybe a few football players). And that's the other problem, B.C. emphasizes football over the average student's life. This is a disaster. Do not buy into the hype. You go to college to get a top Liberal Arts educations and get highly successful job from that the network engine. That did not happen for me at B.C., nor most people that I went to school with that I know. Harvard on the other hand, provides a top Liberal Arts education and delivers the job wherein you would get at least $100k off the bat at age 21. Who would dare deny that record? B.C. people mean well, and are even well-educated, but the problem is the college is diploma mill and there are too many graduates walking out of there looking for the same job as you (and the other New England network schools as I mentioned). This is M.I., so my advise is look elsewhere and to only the elite schools that deliver to all its students (not merely the few or so-called buddy system aka Alumni Association).

Perhaps Notre Dame and Georgetown have a better job placement record amongst so-called "Catholic" schools according to quality and salary? I am not so sure. Regardless, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and the like deliver a Liberal Arts basis and place you in the top quality job. That's why you attend college besides learning the greater knowledge of whatever you wish learn, of which for many is Liberal Arts, and with a business majors it's not a winnable situation for most Alumni from Boston College.
