I am currently a freshman at WWC. I have so far only been there one semester. Despite all of the negative comments people have posted I just want to say that I absolutely love Wilson. The very first day that I arrived at Wilson, "Move-In-Day", I was astounded by the amount of welcome I received by students and staff. Everyone was so genuine and helpful. The vibe that I had that first day has still carried on until today.

If you enjoy having deep, genuine, heart-felt conversations with people then this is the place for you. I have never felt so welcomed in my whole entire life. The positive vibes that float around Wilson just rub off on you. I have made so many friends that aren't "fake" like in high school. The friends I made are all VERY passionate about something and it's so inspiring. Everyone at Wilson chose the school because they are all passionate about something, whether it be the work program, the earth, sustainability, service, or even just soccer. It is amazing to see the dedication people have around campus.

The teachers at Wilson are SO understanding. They will accommodate your needs to the best of their ability. They teach in ways that everyone can understand. It's almost like a magnet school where many of the teachers use "hands-on" learning to help the student have a real life experience with the material. They will take time out of their busy day to have lunch with you or have coffee.
The "party" scene isn't all that great but that is OK because you aren't at school to party, you are there to get an education and focus on your future. As a freshman it isn't that I am against partying or I don't like to have fun, I have just realized that partying your way through college will not be a big help in the long run. Not partying on the weekends just means you can have more time to yourself and having time to yourself is SO important in growing up.

The campus is absolutely beautiful. Every day when walking to class or walking to work (recycling crew), I can't help but just be so thankful for all of the gorgeous nature that surrounds me. You can't get this beauty at any other college. Watching the sunset from the mountains on Dogwood is amazing. The trees are a place to escape when you need some time alone. The campus is pristine.
Overall, I couldn't be happier at Warren Wilson. I enjoy the genuineness of others, the gorgeous campus and just the vibe of the school itself. I recommend this school to anyone who doesn't want just a typical college experience.
