In my first year, I only had one professor that deserved his salary. Every other professor has not spoken clear English, has not returned work in a timely manner if at all, often do not really provide the services that they claim they do (office hours get shortened, if they say they'll give extensions they don't), and really just don't care. The only time a professor might approach a student is to tell them they don't come to class enough, and that they're going to deduct a letter grade. Yes. Usually 5-10% of your grade is attendance. I got straight A's in a class but got a C overall because "I missed too many classes." The professor cancelled or had a sub for twice as many classes as I'd missed. |
