This school is not in the least competitive for math. Like it or not, competitiveness means quality, you don't get a good education by not being challenged. If you're really good at math (not just proficient at precalc or anything), don't go here. You will not be able to get into any competitive grad school programs, and the curriculum lacks many core math courses that pretty much any other university has. Do your research. If you don't actually have a passion for math and just want to be a pencil pusher or an actuary, go for it. This is an engineering school, it's meant to shove you in a job right out of undergrad and won't do anything else very well at all. |
