NYIT is, without doubt, one of the worst colleges one could ever apply to. The staff has FEW qualified personnel that should be teaching let alone dealing with other human beings on a daily basis. Half of them do not care about the well-being of students; any attempt to get a transaction done at the registrar/bursar is usually hindered by a rude and incompetent employee on a massive power trip which ultimately, slows down any type of progress a student can make at the university. The classrooms smell like mold and the education comes from a PowerPoint which is usually taken from another university's website. With the exception of a few excellent professors, most are incompetent people with an obvious inability to communicate and educate. Security is composed of people that roam the campus and provide little to no assistance when it is required. Additionally, the security guards are rude and have no sense of respect when it comes to a student using facilities according to what they were made for (using batting cages to hit baseballs as a student athlete). They call for backup as if a crime was committed and they make a big scene to make up for the lack of activity that they experienced for a week prior. All in all, the school was a disaster and I recommend that anyone thinking of applying to run in the opposite direction. Whatever "incentives" the school provides you prior to your arrival is just a marketing strategy that will vaporize as soon as you step foot on the horrible campus. I rate the school a 1 out of 10, the 1 being for the beautiful trees that are on the campus. Otherwise, the school gets a 0 out 10 and quite deservingly.
