I took the Bachelors of Science in Information Technology, specifically, the Computer Science degree with a specialization in Software Engineering. I entered into the program with over a decade of software development experience. I expected to be able to coast through, but it was not that easy. Ultimately, I graduated with a 3.948 GPA. I really had to work hard at this. I decided to go into the program with humility despite my background, and I really learned a solid foundation which I believe that I had lacked previously. The assignments for most of my teachers were NOT busy-work, for the most part; however, I was expected to produce a written paper for each class. This is normal for this level of education. My Capstone project (IE: the final paper for my final class) was a 132 page paper with group presentation.I received an excellent education from Barry, and I would do it again. The staff was extremely well organized, which was the reason I went there in the first place. |
