That's the main thing I wish I would've known before coming here. If you're interested in being around Christians 24/7 then this place is for you. I am a Christian, but it has been difficult to reconcile with the idea of being surrounded exclusively by Christians…shouldn't I be sharing the Gospel with others instead of confining myself to the company of like-minded people? (That's another tangent though..) I came to Lee because they gave me the most scholarship money, but I may transfer after my sophomore year. There are a lot of great things about Lee, but there definitely are a lot of negatives too. The rules are managable but definitely get annoying after a while. My advice? Come visit Lee before you come. Don't come with Frontline or during Lee Day, but try to come when there's nothing special going on. Sit in on classes and ask current students questions—and if you still feel like it's a good fit, then it probably is! Just objectively weigh your options. |
