William and Mary is a top-ranking college. That needs no explaining as I'm sure you've heard good things about its academic success. Employers have heard about it too let me assure you. Regardless of the major you choose you WILL get a great education. Even if you are interested in engineering, which is not offered as a major, we have joint programs with other institutions like Columbia. The professors, for the most part, are extremely helpful and encourage you to seek them out for help. That said, be prepared to work hard for your 3.5+. There are no easy A's here. Grade deflation DOES exist here and you WILL find yourself in that one class you just can't get an A in. Socially, it is not for everyone either. Joining a fraternity/sorority/club is STRONGLY recommended. If you don't, you will likely be hard pressed finding much of a party scene. Overall, I am happy I made the decision to come here. I've met my own group of people that I'm very close to and enjoy academic success by putting hard work into it (which is honestly how success in the real world works). |
