To be honest, I only went there because I liked their pre health program and scholarship offer. Once I went there, it changed my mind, I was blown away by friendly and helpful environment. You are home at Baylor and people around you, care about you like a family. My professors and my study group is the reason that I have acceptance for many medical schools, good GPA, solid research experience and impressive MCAT scores. Pre health advising wants to send as many students to medical schools as they can and they do everything in their power to make it happen. Waco sucks but I've grown to love the Wacoians and really enjoyed working with non profits to make Waco better. Wacoians love and value Baylor students as Baylor is a source of money and jobs for Waco. I'm not even a religious person, let alone baptist but religious classes were interesting and chaplains were very kind to all students. I know that many people wouldn't have a good experience if they want a big city, a party atmosphere or cut throat competition but most students live and value their unique Baylor experience and consider Baylor Alumni their family. By the way, Baylor alumni are a great network, they pull every string to help fellow Baylor Bears. I'm glad that I found Baylor and I'm looking forward to my time in Baylor college of medicine and then working in one of the Baylor hospitals. |
