Citrus College is a community college that upholds the reputation for being subpar and the least resourceful to their students. If you want to get college work done and are serious about your future, DO NOT GO HERE. Attend Mt. Sac instead. I'm transferring to Mt. Sac because the STEM department is terrible. If you're in anything science related and wish to attain a future, don't waste your time here. The math department is atrocious. Not only is the faculty condescending towards you, but they tell you if a student is struggling even the slightest bit with a concept, give up on your chosen major (STEM)and pursue something else, because you're too stupid to go through with the math class. Seriously, they'll tell you to stop, or to take the class over again as many times as you need. Let me say, the grade of the student is almost completely dependent upon the teacher's willingness to actually TEACH the students, not to just sit there and wait to get his/her paycheck. I have had the displeasure of dealing with math professors there who are not willing to teach the material and blame the students for a lack of understanding when they themselves are incapable of teaching simple material. I also want to stress that enrollment for Citrus is down by over 10%, which should indicate to many of you that there is a reason behind that. For one, the STEM department is atrocious like I said earlier. And if you're not enrolled in enough classes, they will pester and telemarket you to enroll in more classes. Citrus is a community college bent on making money, not helping students. Mt. Sac is far better, just transfer there. |
